I joined the program because I had spent a few months self-teaching web development. I wanted to join a learning program to make connections with people who were also interested in learning and growing in this field.

This opportunity allowed me to bridge the gap between design and development, expand my skill set, and build more complete, user-friendly digital experiences.

My favorite thing about Code School are the various teaching styles to ensure students are able to retain what's being learned, the resources given for success, and the sincerity from Instructors, TA's, and Admins that want to see us succeed.

CodeCrew has set me up for success by giving me all of these opportunities. In high school, CodeCrew reached out to a select number of students for an internship with ALSAC St. Jude, and I was one of them. They gave me that experience like the real work experience.

CodeCrew was part of my journey from start to finish. Before I walked through those doors, I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to have a career in computer science or just do something that was bigger than me.The presence of CodeCrew has changed the community in Memphis. I know they will continue to keep doing this to raise up the next generation of innovators
